What Lenses Fit the Sony ZV-E10 II? E-Mount, APS-C E, and Full-Frame FE Lenses

Author:

The Sony ZV-E10 II uses Sony E-mount. Both APS-C E-mount lenses and full-frame FE lenses use that mount and can attach directly.

What is an APS-C E-mount lens?

These lenses are designed to cover Sony’s APS-C sensor area. They are often smaller and lighter than full-frame lenses with similar focal-length ranges.

Do FE lenses fit?

Yes. Sony’s full-frame FE lenses use the same E-mount. They cover a larger image circle than the ZV-E10 II needs, so the camera simply records the central APS-C portion.

Does an FE lens change focal length on the ZV-E10 II?

No. The physical focal length printed on the lens does not change. The smaller APS-C sensor produces a narrower field of view than a full-frame camera would with the same lens.

Sony APS-C cameras use an approximate 1.5x crop factor for full-frame-equivalent field-of-view comparisons. A 20mm lens therefore frames roughly like a 30mm lens would on full frame.

What about older Sony A-mount lenses?

A-mount and E-mount are different physical mounts. A-mount lenses require an appropriate Sony adapter and compatibility can vary by lens, adapter, and autofocus function.

Why stabilization matters on this camera

The ZV-E10 II does not have mechanical IBIS. For stills, stabilization comes from compatible lenses with optical SteadyShot. That can make lens stabilization an important buying consideration for handheld use.
